Event: Hands-Only CPR Training
Date: June 4, 2022

Location: Scott Rakow Youth Center (2700 Sheridan Avenue)
June is CPR & AED Awareness month. The Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the
community to register to learn the two simple steps of Hands-Only CPR: call 9-1-1, push hard and
fast in the center of the chest until help arrives. Register online starting May 17 th at
register.miamibeachparks.com .
Event: Magical Puppet Show
Date: June 5, 2022
Time: 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.
Location: Muss Park (4300 Chase Ave)
The Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the community to a magical puppet show at
Muss Park. Admission is $3.00 per person and includes a 45-minute puppet show, popcorn, arts
& crafts, and goodie bag. The puppet Show starts at 10:30 a.m. and tickets go on sale beginning
May 16 th at register .miamibeachparks .com .
Event: MLB Jr. Home Run Derby

Time (Ages 14 & Under): 12:00 p.m. -2:00 p.m.
Location: Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium (1435 Michigan Avenue)
The Parks and Recreation Department is inviting the youth baseball community to participate in
the Major League Baseball Jr. Home Run Derby (HRD). The Jr. HRD is an event series for
baseball players ages 12-14 to showcase their hitting skills, compete against peers, and earn a
spot at the National Finals, which takes place during the 2022 MLB All-Star Week. The event is
free for participants and participants may compete in only one division. Register online at

Our Social Club for adults and youth with developmental disabilities will celebrate the end of the
school year and kick-off the summer season with a BBQ celebration. Participants will partake in
a member reunion to catch up and discuss new ideas , while enjoying a delicious lunch .
