Granado, City Clerk July 15, 2022 7 SUBJECT: Motion from the Miami Beach Commission for Women The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to notify you of the motion made at the Miami Beach Commission for Women meeting held on July 12, 2022. Present: Amani Ayers, Melissa Beattie, Faye Goldin, Janis Good, Francinelee Hand, Lynette Long, Liliam Lopez, Lizette Lopez, Jo Manning, Sandra Martin, Elizabeth Resnick, Pam Rodgers, Debra Schwartz, Jill Shackett, Trisha Sindler, and Marjorie York. Motion Made by Elizabeth Resnick Seconded by Pam Rodgers The Miami Beach Commission for Women encourages the Principals of Miami Beach Middle Schools and Miami Beach Senior High to welcome and offer Human Trafficking education through the Miami Beach Police Human Trafficking Unit. Furthermore, the Miami Beach Commission for Women strongly encourages the Parent Teacher Associations to host the Miami Beach Police Department Human Trafficking unit at their schools to educate parents on this subject. The Miami Beach Commission for Women urges the Mayor and Commission to support the above request. Motion Passage: Unanimously
