SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2022 -436 -ND
for Architectural Design Services for the Ocean Drive Corridor Improvement and
Lummus Park Enhancement Projects
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of RFQ No.
2022 -436 -ND. The RFQ seeks proposals for design services for the Ocean Drive Corridor
Improvement (General Obligation Bond Project Number 31) and Lummus Park Enhancement
Projects.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on August 12, 2022. The Evaluation
Committee will review the responsive proposals in accordance with the criteria established in the
RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee
• Jose Del Risco, Assistant Director, Parks and Recreation Department;
• David Gomez, Division Director, Office of Capital Improvement Projects;
• Jose Gonzalez, Director, Transportation Department;
• Cristina Ortega, City Engineer, Public Works Engineering Department;
• Jonathan Plutzik, Resident, Owner of The Betsy Hotel, and President Ocean Drive
Association;
• Heather Shaw, Assistant Director, Economic Development Department; and
• John Stuart, Resident and Associate Dean at Florida International University.
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates:
• Maria Cerna, Division Director, Office of Capital Improvement Projects; and
• Deborah Tackett, Historic Preservation and Architecture Officer, Planning Department.
