SUBJECT: Miami Beach is Awarded an Appropriation of $450,000 by the Florida
Legislature for the Miami Beach Water Mains Replacement Project
I am pleased to report that the City has been approved for funding in the amount of
$450,000 as a match for a portion of the Miami Beach Water Mains Replacement Project
by the Florida Legislature.
The complete project will upsize the water mains to increase the water system capacity
and meet the needs of current customers and emergency fire services fire flow demand.
The project includes replacing all current fire hydrants, upsizing all current water services
and reconnecting all existing connections.
We would like to express thanks to Representative Michael Grieco for the sponsorship of
this item.
