Meeting called to order at 5:40 p.m.
• Approval of the April 15, 2021 Minutes
o The April 15, 2021 minutes were approved.

• 2022 Parks Budget (Parks – Vianca Peron Sellan)
o Vianca Peron-Sellan presented the Parks and Recreation FY22 Proposed Budget to the board.
o FY22 Initial Budget Proposal has been submitted and it is being reviewed.
o Vianca discussed the Revenue Trends within the past few years.
o Discussion ensued on the Miami Beach Tennis Center revenue.
o Jose del Risco discussed the revenue for Tennis and Golf.
o Discussion ensued on the Miami Beach Tennis Center and their revenue trends.
o The Tennis Centers and Golf Clubs are doing well with revenue.
o Discussion ensued on the Recreation portion of revenue trends, such as after school, athletics, etc.
o Discussion ensued on Recreation Program expenditures and revenue.
o Vianca discussed the General Fund – Expenditure Trends, such as Salaries and Benefits,
Operating Expenses, Internal Services, Capital and Debt.
o Discussion ensued on the presentation and the Expenditure Trends.
o Discussion ensued on Enhancement Requests.
o Discussion ensued on additional Park Rangers and Janitorial Services to Polo Park.
o Discussion ensued on the lighting project for Polo Park.
o Discussion ensued on adding Park Rangers to the Alton Road Park.
o Discussion ensued on Capital Projects Requests.
o Discussion ensued on the Citywide Fitness Course Capital Project Request.
o Discussion ensued on modular bathrooms for Polo Park.
o Motion [00:28:30]: The Parks and Recreational Facilities Advisory Board motions to support the
Parks and Recreation Department’s FY 2022 Operating Budget and Capital Improvement Budget,
and 2022-2026 5-year Capital Improvement Plan. Requests as presented by the Park’s
Department at tonight’s meeting.
