“The Committee of Quality Education was established in 1999 to guide the city’s efforts towards providing the best education
possible in Miami Beach public schools. The committee is vested with the power and authority to make recommendations to the city
commissions and to investigate, develop and carry out plans to promote and ensure the provision of quality education in Miami
Beach public schools.”

1. Education Department Request Discussion – CFO John Woodruff presented information
to the members and requested feedback from them regarding this request.
2. STEM Lab needs $275,000 requested by City Commission September 30, 2022
a. Nautilus Middle $27,000
b. Fienberg Fisher $225,000
c. MBSH $241,000
d. SPE $19,200
e. Biscayne TBD

Follow up meeting schedule for October 18 at 6 pm via zoom.
CFO John Woodruff to return for additional discussion October 25 and/or November 15, 2022.
Item will be deferred to the November PSNQAC meeting at the request of CFO Woodruff.
