Subject:
Competition Update!!! The Miami Beach X-TREME Cheerleading Team took top honors
in their Division C (12th grade & under) at the National Cheerleading Association/National
Dance Association competition held in New York City March 13, 2004. They beat out four
other teams from across America that had qualified through local, regional and state
preliminaries. It was the first time a Miami Beach cheerleading team has ever made it to
the nationals. The 15 girls and 2 boys in the squad raised over $13,000 to make the trip.
Please join the parents and coaches as the team performs at the End of the S~ason
Awards Ceremony to be held on April 7th at 7:00PM at Nautilus Middle School. See you
there!!
The Miami Beach Parks & Recreation Jr. & Sr. Dance Company will compete in the
Show Stoppers American Dance Championship Regional Competition at Broward
Community College in Ft. Lauderdale. This is a major competition with dancers from all
across Florida vying for the top spot to make it to the Nationals. They will also compete in
the Star Power Regional Title Competition in Broward County, Florida. Star Power is one of
the largest talent competitions in America.
