VISTAS CONDOMINIUMS TEMPORARY PARKING (VENETIAN CAUSEWAY)

The City of Miami Beach Parking Department received a request from the Vistas Condominiums
Homeowner Association to develop and implement a temporary (six months) RPP (Residential
Parking Program) for the residents and visitors to the Vistas Condominiums, located at One Century
Lane. The request was made as a result of the required repairs to the Vistas' pool deck and parking
garage, which will result in the loss of all of the Vistas' parking spaces during the construction
period. Without the RPP, the Vistas residents will have no allocated parking on Belle Isle. The intent
of these spaces is to provide temporary parking for loading/unloading of passengers and/or
goods/services; disabled and/or temporary disabled parking, etc.
The City of Miami Beach Parking Department is holding a publicly noticed Workshop at 6:00
P.M. on Wednesday, April 7 ,2004, atthe First Floor Conference Room, Miami Beach City Hall,
located at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida. The Workshop is being held in
order to receive public comments, suggestions, and/or input from affected residents and businesses
in the area in order to develop a consensus on how to proceed with the temporary residential
parking program. Subsequently, if endorsed, the temporary residential parking program will be
presented to the City's Transportation and Parking Committee and ultimately to the Mayor and City
Commission for ratification.
The following is a summary of the recommendations for the proposed temporary residential parking
program:
Restricted Parkina Boundaries:
. Nine (9) on-street parking spaces on the north side of the Venetian Causeway (to be
installed).
Restricted Parkina Hours:
. Restricted parking for Vistas' residents 24 hours a day.
