TO
GRANT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA
AND
UNIDAD of Miami Beach, Inc.
This Amendment No. 1 (Amendment)to the Grant Agreement, dated March 17,2022(the
"Agreement"), by and between the City of Miami Beach, Florida, a municipal corporation
organized and existing under the laws of the State of Florida, having its principal place of
business at 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139 (the "City"),
UNIDAD of Miami Beach, Inc.,a Florida not-for-profit corporation,having its pri ci al place
efpjjess at 7241 Collins Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33141 is entered into this ( day of

RECITALS
WHEREAS, on December 12,2018,the Mayor and City Commission adopted Resolution
Number 2018-30654, approving a.grant award to Grantee, in the amount of$230,000.00
annually, on a recurring basis for a period of up to five (5) years, subject to funding
appropriation during the City's annual budgetary process, commencing Fiscal Year 2018-
2019, to fund senior services being offered at the North Beach Senior Center, which
services include, without limitation,a senior meals and socialization program; and
WHEREAS, on March 17, 2022,the parties executed the Agreement for the fourth grant
year, commencing on March 1, 2022 and expiring on February 28, 2023; and
WHEREAS, the parties wish to execute Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, which wilt
amend the budget of the Agreement by making line-item changes and allocating the
$41,586.27 of surplus grant funds from the previous grant year,as well as update Section
25 of the Agreement; and
NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual promises and conditions contained
herein, and other good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is hereby
acknowledged, the City and Grantee hereby agree to amend the Agreement as follows:
1. ABOVE RECITALS.
The above recitals are true and correct and are incorporated as part of this
Amendment. •
2. MODIFICATIONS.
The Agreement is hereby amended (deleted items stcusk-thr-eugh and inserted
items underlined)as follows:
a. Exhibit 2 (Project Schedule) is hereby deleted In its entirety and replaced
with the attached Amended Exhibit 2.
b. Section 25 of the Agreement Is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced
with the below:

25. NO DISCRIMINATION: The.Grantee also accepts and agrees to comply
with the.following Special Conditions:
A. Grantee hereby agrees that it will comply with Title VII of the Civil Rights
Act of 1.964 (Pub. L. 88-352) (Title VII), as amended, as it appears in volume 42 of the
United States Code, beginning at Section 2000e, prohibiting employment discrimination
based on race,color, religion, sex and national origin.
B. The Grantee hereby agrees that it will comply with City of Miami Beach
Human Rights Ordinance as codified in Chapter 62.of the City Code, as may be amended
from time to time, prohibiting discrimination in employment (including independent
contractors). housing, public accommodations, public services, and in connection with its
membership or policies because of actual or perceived race,color, national origin,religion.
sex, intersexuality, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital and familial status, age,
disability, ancestry, height, weight hair texture and/or hairstyle,domestic partner status,
labor organization membership,familial situation, or political affiliation.
C. The City endorses, and Grantee shall comply with, the clear mandate of
the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) to remove barriers,.which prevents
qualified individuals with disabilities from eniovinq the same employment opportunities that
are available to persons without disabilities.
D. The City also endorses the mandate of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and
Section 504 and prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability and requires that Grant
recipients provide equal access and equal opportunity and services without discrimination
on the basis of any disability.
3. RATIFICATION:
Except as amended herein, all other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain
unchanged and in full force and effect. In the event there is a conflict between the
provisions of this.Amendment and the Agreement,the provisions of this Amendment shall
govern.
