Community Involvement W ~ the Development of a
Comprehensive Municipal Mobility Plan for Miami Beach.
SUBJECT:
The City of Miami Beach and its Transportation and Parking Committee will hold three
(3) Community Involvement Workshops to receive input toward the development of
a Citywide Municipal Mobility Plan (MMP) for Miami Beach, The public is being invited
to attend anyone or all three workshops, which have been scheduled at the following
locations and times:
North Beach: Tuesday, April 28, 1998, from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M.
Biscayne Elementary School Cafeteria, at 800 77th Street.
Middle Beach: Monday, May 4, 1998, from 6:30 to 9:30 P.M.
The Tavern Room, Colonial Bank Bldg., 301 41 st St., 6th Floor.
South Beach: Wednesday, May 13, 19!:18, from 7:00 to 10:00 P.M.
Miami Beach Police Station Conference Room, Ground Floor.

The Municipal Mobility Plan (MMP), pn:~sently under development by the City's
consultant, Carr Smith Corradino and tlhe City's Planning Staff, will be the first
Citywide transportation plan for Miami Beach. The MMP will be responsive to the
challenges of growth management, while being sensitive and responsive to the needs
of preserving and enhancing the quality of life and environment in the residential,
commercial, and historic preservation areas of the City.
The public is being invited and encouralged to participate in one or more of the
Community Involvement Workshops, and have their suggestions incorporated in the
development of the final Municipal Mobility Plan.

Citywide notification of these Workshops will be accomplished through the following
means:
o Issuance of a Press Release with a Workshop schedule.
o Notices mailed to all Miami Beach Civic Organizations, Homeowners
Associations, schools, churches and synagogues. Over 180 groups will be so
notified.
o Notices posted in all City buildings and inside the ELECTROWA VE vehicles.
o Messages on CIVICALL, and listed in the City's Internet website calendar.
o Cable 'crawl' messages added to televised City Board/Commission meetings.
Your public participation is encouraged and welcomed.
