Hey Amanda,
Happy Friday! We have been working diligently with the City of Miami Beach Clerk's Office to make the overall process
for grantee Lobbyist Registration easier and more streamlined year-over-year.
The City of Miami Beach Clerk's Office has requested an advisory of the following:
To improve Lobbyists'procedures, our office will not require Grant Applicants to reapply every year
for the same matter.
If you, the lobbyist,plan to apply for a grant every year for the same principal/topic, then you only
need to do one Lobbyist registration. Just make sure you do not withdraw from the issue when you
complete the annual Expenditure Fee Statement(this is physically mailed to your organization annual
from the Clerk's Office).
Please reply to this email stating that you agree for me to change your most recent application to state
"annual grant application"for the grant topic you provided.
The Miami Beach VCA has been notified of this change.
If any information changes including, but not limited to, address information, organization name,
lobbyist name, contact information, etc. please email lobbyists@miamibeachfl.gov to update the
Lobbyist Registration Form and records with the City Clerk's Office.
We are very excited for this change, and believe this automatic annual rollover will make Lobbyist Registration an
easier process for all grantees!
Please respond to this email with your approval of this change on your Lobbyist Registration Form by 5PM on Friday,
March 31,2023.
