Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission:
The Transportation, Parking and Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee (TPBPFC) held its
hybrid meeting on Monday, September 11, 2023, and passed the below motion:
Biscayne Bay Ferry Service between Miami Beach and Miami
The Transportation, Parking, and Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee passed a motion
supporting the proposal presented by Poseidon Ferry with the following conditions:
• The final contract states that there be no additional charge for riders with bicycles, e-
bikes, or scooters.
• That there be easy pedestrian and disabled access to and from public transportation
(Metro Mover, Bus Stops, etc.), with proper directional signage.
• That Poseidon Ferry look for opportunities for additional stops to allow for growth of
this service.
• That service hours be adjusted during times of high traffic and high impact events.
As an advisory Committee, we urge the Mayor and City Commission to support this motion.
Sincerely,
Transportation, Parking & Bicycle-Pedestrian Facilities Committee
