Hudak, City Manag� DATE: November 9, 2023 SUBJECT: City of Miami Beach Receives Two 2023 Davey Awards The purpose of this letter to commission is to announce that the Office of Marketing & Communications, in partnership with the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau (GMCVB) and their agency of record, VML, has received a 2023 Gold and 2023 Silver Davey Award for the "Find Your Wave" campaign. The campaign won a Gold Davey Award for "Best Travel and Tourism Commercial" and a Silver Davey Award for "Best Travel and Tourism Campaign." The campaign focuses on promoting Miami Beach as the ideal destination for arts and culture, health and wellness, and family tourism. Its secondary aim is to promote city pride among residents and businesses- reminding them of the incredible offerings Miami Beach has to offer. The creative collateral included paid social, search engine optimization, bus shelters, trolleys, pole banners and digital executions and it will continue to run throughout December 31, 2023. The intern ational Davey Awards are sanctioned and judged by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts, a body consisting of executives from top-tier media, advertising and marketing firms, including Spotify, Publicis, Conde Nast, Disney, GE, Microsoft, MTV, JP Morgan and the PGA Tour. Focused exclusively on honoring outstanding creative work, the 19th Annual Davey Awards received over 2,000 entries from ad agencies, digital agencies, production firms, in- house creative pro fessionals, graphic designers, design firms and public relations firms. Other winners this year included the United States Air Force (USAF), Coors Light Beer, UberEats, the Canada Revenue Agency, PBS Distribution and AA RP.
