City Manager
M. KAY RANDALL
Date: May 10, 2004
! want to inform you of a recent personnel action which resulted in the
resignation/retirement of M. Kay Randall, the City's information Technology Director. Mr.
Randall joined the City staff five years ago and since that time the !nformation Technology
Department has accomplished a substantial upgrade to the City's network infrastructure
including both local and wide area networks. Additionally, the Department has
standardized desktop application software with the Microsoft XP Office Suite of products
and further has standardized our desktop hardware and replacement policy. This
personnel action was taken to provide the leadership necessary to take the Information
Technology Team to the level required to support the City's initiatives during the upcoming
years.
Ms. Gladys Acosta, currently the City's Telecommunications rvlanager has agreed to serve in
the capacity of Acting Information Technology Director and Trish Walker, CFO, will take an
active role in the operations of the Department as we pursue a national search for a new
leader.
