FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Feb. 22, 2023 Miami Beach Extends Partnership with the South Beach Wine & Food Festival® Through 2028
— The event showcases the best-known celebrity chefs and wine and spirit producers in the country —
Miami Beach, FL – The City of Miami Beach and the South Beach Wine & Food Festival® have agreed to a five-year renewal of their partnership on the annual four-day foodie extravaganza through 2028. A ceremonial signing will occur on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. at The Betsy Hotel rooftop. “The South Beach Wine & Food Festival has become synonymous not only with delicious food
but the best in hospitality that our city has to offer,” Miami Beach Mayor Dan Gelber said. “We look forward to extending our partnership with this family-friendly event to 2028 and beyond.”
The annual Food Network South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One is one of the largest and best-known festivals in the world with an economic impact to greater Miami-Dade County of more than $20.5 million in direct expenditures and $13.7 million in indirect
expenditures. “We embarked on this great adventure 22 years ago to raise money for the Chaplin School of Hospitality and Tourism Management at Florida International University,” explained Festival Founder and Director, Lee Schrager. “I am pleased to tell you that we have raised more than $34 million for the School to date and our graduates can be found working at some of the top institutions in the world.” The long list of celebrity chefs who have appeared at the event over the years includes Emeril Lagasse, Giada De Laurentiis, Marcus Samuelsson, Guy Fieri, Robert Irvine, Buddy Valastro and Bobby Flay among others.
This year’s event takes place from Feb. 23-26 with more than 100 events along the white sands of Miami Beach and throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties. It is expected to
