SUBJECT: MAYORS' CHESS CHALLENGE
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to announce the participation of the City ofMiami Beach Parks and Recreation Department in the annual Mayors' Chess Challenge to be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Scott Rakow Youth Center(2700 Sheridan Avenue).
The Mayors' Chess Challenge is aimed at drawing attention to the scholastic benefits of chessnot only in schools, but in the community as well. The initiative provides an opportunity for players of all ages to get together for a free and friendly game of chess, and fun with communityleaders.
