City of Miami Beach Recognized as "100 Best Fleets" in the Americas
The purpose of this Letter to Commission ("LTC") is to provide the Mayor and the City Commission
with an announcement recognizing the City of Miami Beach as one of the Top 100 Best Fleets in
the Americas by the National Association of Fleet Administrators ("NAFA") for the third year in a
row.
NAFA is the world's largest membership association for individuals who manage the vehicular fleet
and mobility responsibilities for their employers. NAFA propels the fleet and mobility profession
through its world-class certification, education, advocacy, and peer-networking programs. It is an
essential element of success for individuals involved in the profession. NAFA members control
more than 4.8 million vehicles and manage assets in excess of $122 billion. These vehicles travel
more than 84 billion miles annually.
NAFA's 100 Best Fleets in the Americas program recognizes high-performing fleet operations in
the public industry. Participants of this highly competitive program are evaluated on
"12 Criteria of Excellence" encompassing the qualities of high-performing fleets, based on the

On April 23, 2024, the City of Miami Beach Fleet Management Division was recognized as the 52°
best fleet among the 100 Best Fleets in North America for 2024. The honor was announced at
NAFA's 2024 Institute & Expo in San Antonio, TX.
The program recognizes peak-performing fleet operations within the 38,000 public fleets in North

Ranking among the best Fleets in North America three years in a row is a testament to our
commitment to excellence and efficiency. Through strategic initiatives, the Fleet Management
Division has implemented best practice, and data integration solutions to improve efficiency, track
performance, improve condition of the facility, and enhance the level of service provided to the
City's user departments. NAFA's recognition as Top 100 Best Fleets is a great and much deserved
achievement.
