The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to provide you with the motions made at the Miami
Beach Commission for Women meeting held on May 7, 2024. For any questions or comments

Motion Made by Robyn Malek
Seconded by Pam Rodgers
Motion Passage: Unanimously.
Motion #1: The Miami Beach Commission for Women supports Commissioner Alex
Fernandez in his role as serving on the Homeless Committee and for spearheading this issue.
As the Commission for Women, we are particularly concerned about the safety of women.

Motion Passage: Unanimously.
Motion #2: The Miami Beach Commission for Women would like to express our thanks and
appreciation to the Office of the Mayor & Commission, Miami Beach Police Department, Miami
Beach City Manager, and all Miami Beach staff and employees for the successful handling
and execution of Spring Break. This year residents like ourselves felt safe.
