Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Qualifications (RFQ) No. 2024-
234-ND for Engineering Services for Seawalls and Living Shorelines
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to update the Mayor and City Commission on
the status of Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 2024-234-ND. The RFQ seeks to select consultants
needed by the Public Works Department for engineering services for the seawalls and living
shorelines improvements.
The City will receive proposals pursuant to this RFQ on May 28, 2024. Responsive proposals will
be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in accordance with the criteria established in the RFQ.
I have appointed the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Eugene Egemba, Principal Engineer, Public Works Department
• Matthew Lepera, Construction Manager, Public Works Department
• Mariela Paez Castillo, Principal Engineer, Public Works Department
• Lindsey Precht, Assistant Director, Environment and Sustainability Department
• Adalberto Viciedo, Chief Structural Engineer, Building Department
I have also appointed the following individuals as alternates:
• Arturo Carrocera, Principal Engineer, Public Works Department
• Amy Knowles, Chief Resiliency Officer, Environment and Sustainability Department
• Patricia Rendon, Regulatory Compliance Manager, Public Works Department
