LTC 250-2024 Update on Miami-Dade County Legal AdvertisementsMIAMIBEACH OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK LTC No. 250-2024 LETTER TO COMMISSION TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: Update on Miami-Dade County Legal Advertisements and Public Notices Website. I am writing to inform you of an important update we received from Miami-Dade County regarding the development of a website to publish legal advertisements and public notices. A copy of the County email is attached for your reference. The email, sent by David Leyte-Vidal, Governmental and Community Liaison, outlines the current status and upcoming steps for the website's implementation. The highlights include: 1. The website is now ready for user testing, which will commence next week with County Departments and the Clerk of the Board. 2. Concurrent efforts are being made with the County Attorney's Office to finalize the lnterlocal Agreement (ILA) form, which will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC) for approval. The ILA is sponsored by Senator Rene Garcia. 3. It is anticipated that the BCC will consider the ILA before the summer recess in late July. 4. Following the approval of the ILA, Miami-Dade County will initiate the onboarding process for municipalities that wish to use the site for legal notices. The City of Miami Beach authorized the use of the County's website to publish legal advertisements and public notices via Resolution No. 2024-32985 approved at the April 3, 2024 City Commission meeting.
