Sustainability Committee Motion
Dear Honorable Mayor and City Commission,
The Sustainability Committee met on June 27, 2024 and passed the motion below:
The Sustainability Committee recommends looking into the creation of the new position, which will be
an enhancement between the Code Compliance, Sanitation, and Environment & Sustainability
departments to enforce existing environmental codes and special events guidelines. In addition, the
Committee encourages the City to leverage existing and new opportunities, such as the national Corps
program and high school community service programs.
Motion passed: 4-0.
