Visit by Jared Firestone to Parks Summer Camps
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC)is to announce that 2026 Winter Olympic hopeful
representing Team Israel and Miami Beach resident Jared Firestone,will be visiting the summer
camp at the Scott Rakow Youth Center.He will speak to the campers about the sport of Skeleton
and what it takes to make it to the Olympics.
Mr.Firestone is a 7-time medalist on Olympic qualifying circuits,including Israel's first-ever gold
medal in sliding sports.He has been ranked as high as 24 in the International Bobsleigh and
Skeleton Federation (IBSF)world rankings and is excited to be sharing his knowledge and love of
the sport of Skeleton with the summer campers.He will share his story of overcoming medical
hardships while growing up in South Florida to become an elite athlete in a winter sport and will
also demonstrate Skeleton sport-related exercise activities with the youth.
