94-21126 ResoEXHIBIT "A" RESOLUTION NO. 94-21126 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ABOLISHING THE EXISTING RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREAS AND CREATING NEW RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING AREAS AS IDENTIFIED ON THE MAP IN ATTACHED EXHIBIT "1" ,PURSUANT TO SECTION 44-84 OF THE MIAMI BEACH CITY CODE.WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 44-84 of the Code of the City of Miami Beach, the City Manager is authorized to determine if a residential area is impacted by commuter vehicles in accordance with the criteria set forth in Sections 44-82 and 44-83, and after making such a determination to initiate the creation of a residential permit parking area; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Miami Beach City Code Section 44- 84, the Mayor and City Commission must hold a public hearing to consider the City Manager's recommendations for creating residential permit parking areas, and at the conclusion of the public hearing, may adopt a resolution creating such areas; and WHEREAS, the City Manager has determined that in order to better meet the current needs of residents in the City of Miami Beach, it is necessary to abolish the existing residential permit parking areas and to create new residential permit parking areas to include locations in existing residential permit parking areas as well as locations not previously included in such areas; and WHEREAS, the Parking Department and the Administration have developed such a program based on the city' s needs, input from residents, and successful residential programs from other cities;and,WHEREAS, the proposed new residential permit parking areas are described herein and identified in the map attached hereto as Exhibit "1"; and WHEREAs, in order to implement the new program it is necessary to abolish the existing residential permit parking areas in the City of Miami Beach as set forth in Exhibit "2" attached hereto.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CIT"'....COMMISSION OF THE CrTY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA AS FOLLOWS:Section 1. City Clerk Rafael E.Granado found an unsigned copy of the Resolution attached to Resolution 99- 23225.This is the copy being linked to the Laserfiche database.
