Safeguards

their vehicle registration to Miami Beach
●Leniency
Citations can be dismissed as a one-time courtesy if
residents register their vehicles after being cited.
●Exclusions
All new buildings will be excluded from participating.
Accessibility
●Hours
Parking spaces immediately adjacent to parks/schools will
be open to the public until parks close. Hours of
enforcement will be from 6pm to 7am (the same citywide).
Unrestricted parking during the daytime.
●Maximum 2 permits per household
Valid photo ID (passports acceptable), vehicle registered in
Miami Beach and a current MB utility bill, lease agreement
or Declaration of Domicile from the M-D County Clerk.
●Visitor Passes
Visitor passes are $3 per pass, valid for 24 hours. Maximum
30 visitor passes per quarter.
Conclusion
Community support has been positive and widespread.
Residents are tired of coming home from work and circling to find
parking.
Residents shouldn’t have to compete against transient uses and bad
actors.
This is a one-year pilot program –a lot to gain, very little to lose.
