Miami Beach Police Department Night Out
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC)is to inform the Mayor and Commission of the
Miami Beach Police Department's (MBPD) annual Night Out event to be held on Tuesday,
October 8,2024 from 5:00 P.M.to 9:00 P.M.in the courtyard of the Miami Beach Police
Department.
The Night Out is a special evening designed to enhance the relationship between the City's
residents,businesses,tourists,and law enforcement,while rekindling a true sense of community.
Night Out offers a unique opportunity to bring together police officers and community members in
a positive,relaxed environment,fostering the strong connections that are essential to building a
safer community.
In recognition of October as Crime Prevention Month,the Department's Community Affairs Unit
has chosen auto theft as this year's crime prevention theme.The Administration believes this
focus will provide an excellent platform to educate the public,raise awareness,and share
valuable prevention tips that can help safeguard the Miami Beach community.
The presence of the Commission would mean a great deal as the Department works to
strengthen the bonds between law enforcement and the community they serve.The officers of
the MBPD are grateful for the continued support and look forward to the opportunity to connect,
collaborate,and celebrate the spirit of Miami Beach at this year's Night Out.
