Krome Ave Homestead, FL 33030 ("Contractor"). RECITALS WHEREAS, on October 4, 2022, the City and Contractor executed the Agreement to provide specialized outreach, pre-treatment beds, residential treatment beds, and recovery residences to persons who are homeless in the City of Miami Beach; and WHEREAS, on March 14, 2023, following notification from the Contractor that there had yet to be a need for recovery housing for individuals completing substance abuse treatment, the Administration executed Amendment No. 1 to the Agreement, reallocating $7,968.75 from the Housing/Recovery Residence line item to the Pre-Treatment Emergency Shelter (ES) Beds line item; and WHEREAS, on August 22, 2023, the City and Contractor acknowledged and agreed to renew the Agreement for Fiscal Year 2024 based upon the same terms, conditions, and pricing as set forth in the Agreement, except as amended by the new budget, effective October 1, 2023; and WHEREAS, on August 24, 2023, based on the consistent demand for emergency shelter/pre-treatment beds and the Contractor's securing of a Housing/Recovery Residence that would not deplete its allocated line item, the Administration executed Amendment No. 2 to the Agreement, modifying the Agreement's Budget to reallocate an additional $16,539.75 to the Pre- Treatment Emergency Shelter (ES) Beds line item. The Agreement, Amendment No. 1, and Amendment No. 2 shall be collectively referred to herein as the "Agreement' and WHEREAS, the Contractor has notified the City that based on review of services and expenditures thus far, additional funding is required to continue the facilitation of Transportation and Pre-Treatment Emergency Shelter(ES) Beds: and WHEREAS, the City and Contractor wish to modify the budget to reallocate $6,500.00 to the Transportation line item and $11,450.00 to the Pre-Treatment Emergency Shelter(ES) Beds line item to fund said services through September 30, 2024.
