Miami Beach OnStage!Season Kicks Off with Hispanic Heritage Month
Celebration
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC)is to announce the fall 2024 Miami Beach
OnStage!season,which begins with events highlighting Hispanic Heritage Month,which is
celebrated September 15 -October 15,2024,annually.
Miami Beach OnStage!,the city's largest free outdoor performing and visual arts program is back
for a third season with live performances and site-specific temporary art installations in Miami
Beach's beautiful parks,pedestrian streets,and other unexpected locations.These culturally
diverse experiences include music,performance,and art.
The new season departs from episodic activations to more impactful events aligned with cultural
holidays and observances.This shift is intended to increase attendance,community participation,
and engagement.Miami Beach OnStage!programming celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month is
outlined below.

OnStage!Hispanic Heritage Month Kick-Off Salsa Lovers Block Party
Collins Park (2100 Collins Avenue)
6:00 PM -10:00 PM
Miami Beach OnStage!and Tigre Studios kick off Hispanic Heritage Month with a free to the public
evening of pura sabrosura for salsa lovers in Collins Park!Start your evening with a salsa class
led by Timba Casino Miami (6:00 PM-7:00 PM),then experience the rhythms of some of Miami's
finest:Rum &Coke for a Fania 60th Anniversary Tribute DJ set (7:00 PM-9:00 PM)and
Xperimento All-Stars Salsa Edition for a special live performance (9:00 PM).Don't miss our
interactive art station curated by Buen Provecho Collective with self-guided prompts in English and
Spanish from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM.

OnStage!Presents Hispanic Heritage Month with Son Lokos
Euclid Oval (700 Lincoln Road)

Miami Beach OnStage!celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with a performance by Sonlokos,
fusing traditional rhythms and timba with hip-hop and reggaeton.Presented in partnership with
Global Arts Project.

Miami Beach OnStage!closes out Hispanic Heritage Month with a live music performance by
Danay Suarez,singer and songwriter,who explores Jazz,Hip-Hop,and traditional island genres.
Raw Figs,South Florida's leading live figure drawing collective,will bring together culture and
education for aspiring and experienced artists alike.Presented in partnership with Miami Jazz
Bookings.
