Miami Beach Police Department's 4 Annual Block Party
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (LTC)is to inform the Mayor and City Commission about
the 4 Annual Miami Beach Police Department Block Party to be held on Sunday,November 17,
2024 from 10:.00 A.M.to 3:00 P.M.at North Shore Park (501 72"Street).
As a rotating annual activity,the Block Party is a community event in collaboration with the Miami
Beach Police Athletic League that has become a cornerstone of the City's outreach efforts.The
Administration is excited to extend an invitation to the City Commission and the community to join
the Police Department for a day filled with music,food,and entertainment.
The Block Party will feature guest appearances from local radio stations,a Kids Zone,storytelling
sessions,yoga,Zumba classes,and more.This free,family-friendly gathering aims to strengthen
community bonds and foster a positive relationship between residents,the City,and the Miami
Beach Police Department.
The presence and support of the Commission would greatly contribute to the success of this event
and the strengthening of community-police relations.The Department looks forward to the
opportunity to celebrate the community together.
