Miami Beach PAL 46"Thanksgiving Giveaway Event
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC)is to inform the Mayor and the City Commission
about the Miami Beach Police Athletic League's 46"Annual Thanksgiving Giveaway event to be
held on Wednesday,November 20,2024 from 5:00 P.M.to 7:00 P.M.at the Miami Beach Police
Athletic League located at 999 11"Street in Miami Beach.
Local families with financial need register on-line at the Police Athletic League's (PAL)website to
be considered and identified as one of 300 families to be gifted a Publix gift card close to the
Thanksgiving holiday.The gift card,purchased through PAL donation funds,provides a family
with the ability to feed five (5)to seven (7)individuals and ensures Miami Beach families can
purchase adequate and plentiful food for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.
While this is but one of many prominent PAL community outreach events,it is perhaps the most
significant and consequential community project hosted by the PAL,who is proud to serve the
Miami Beach community through a meaningful gift of giving.Thank you to the City Commission in
advance for its continued support and presence at the event.It is always beneficial for the
community to engage with City staff and leadership,especially throughout the holidays.
