Bond Oversight Committee MotionMIAMI BEACH OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK LTC# TO: FROM: DATE: SUBJECT: LETTER TO COMMISSION Honorable Mayor Steven Mein~M1bers of the City Commission at«ei oranado,coy cer /[ September 26,2024 G.O.Bond Oversight Committee Motion The purpose of this Letter to the Commission ("LTC")is to inform the Mayor and City Commission of the motion made at the September 19,2024 G.O.Bond Oversight Committee meeting: The Committee made a motion recommending to the City Commission the creation of a policy for GO Bond Projects mirroring the "Stop the Pause"Ordinance,as follows: (a)A 5/7 vote of the City Commission shall be required before the City Commission may take any action that has the effect of pausing,delaying,stopping or materially modifying a GO Bond Project having an estimated construction cost of $1,000,000 or more that is at least at 60%design. (b)A 6/7 vote of the City Commission shall be required before the City Commission may take any action that has the effect of pausing,delaying,stopping or materially modifying a GO Bond Project having an estimated construction cost of $1,000,000 or more that has obtained all permits and is shovel-ready. Note:The Committee made it clear that this would not apply retroactively.
