Some of the changes to parking rates resulting from this 5-year adjustment include increasing the fee for the Resident Parking Discount Program from $1 to $2 per hour and increasing the parking meter rate for the Entertainment District Parking Zone from $4 to $6 per hour for on-street parking. In order to mitigate the financial burden of the CPI adjustment on the City's residents,the workforce,and its visitors,the Mayor and City Commission now wish to repeal the automatic 5- year CPI adjustment.The Administration has determined that the repeal of the automatic 5-year CPI adjustment for parking rates will reduce revenues by approximately $4,800,000 in FY 2025- 26 but will not impact City's operational budget or affect the operations of the Parking Department.
