Members of the City Commission
SUBJECT: A RESIDENTS TRAFFIC COMMITTEE
At the April Commission Meeting, there was a request to form a committee comprised of residents
which would review the information that is being used to make traffic recommendations for the City.
The proposed residents traffic committee would serve as a source for information regarding traffic-
related issues and review data used to make traffic decisions.
The Transportation and Parking Committee (TPC) is the official City committee dealing with
transportation and parking issues. It is comprised of one representative appointed by each
Commissioner, with the remainder made up of local civic group and homeowners' association
members. The TPC has been involved in the development of the Municipal Mobility Plan and is
continuing to focus its emphasis on transportation and parking issues within the City. The
Administration recommends that the candidates proposed for this residents traffic committee be
considered for appointment to the TPC and participate in this manner, in order to avoid duplication.
There are currently four vacancies on the TPC that should be filled. The following individuals
were recommended to serve on the residents traffic committee:
Donald Worth
Dave Wallack
Victor Diaz, Jr.
Rabbi Yitzchak Zweig
Jim Schlobohm
Jeff Donelly
Please consider the above-named residents for appointment to the TPC.
