A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING CITY
ADMINISTRATION TO PRIORITIZE THE INSTALLATION OF
BATHROOMS IN THE DOMINO PAVILIONS IN NORTH SHORE
BANDSHELL PARK
WHEREAS, North Shore Bandshell Park is home to the UNIDAD Senior Center
which provides a variety of services to seniors; and
WHEREAS, the City has recently broken ground on the construction of the first of
three domino pavilions in North Shore Bandshell Park; and
WHEREAS, access to clean, safe, and accessible public bathrooms is a necessity
in our city; and
WHEREAS, like housing, public restrooms are a basic need, a public health
imperative, and a necessary piece of urban infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, there is a clear need for clean and safe public restrooms for use in the
domino pavilions; and
WHEREAS, the existing infrastructure in North Shore Bandshell Park is not
meeting this need.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby direct the City Administration to prioritize the installation of public
restrooms in the domino pavilions in North Shore Bandshell Park.
