Homeless Point in Time Census -January 23-24,2025
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise that the City's Homeless Outreach Services
Division will be participating in the countywide Point in Time Census,managed by the Miami-Dade
County Homeless Trust,on January 23-24,2025.
The Point in Time Census is conducted during January and August each year.The bi-annual
census is the physical count of homeless individuals on City streets.The census will take place
between 10:00 p.m.on Thursday,January 23,2025,and 6:00 a.m.on Friday,January 24,2025.
The Division's walk-in center will remain operational with normal business hours,7:30 a.m.-6:00
p.m.,on both Thursday and Friday.
Staff will provide an update on Point in Time Census results via a subsequent Letter to
Commission.If you have any questions,please contact Alba Tarre,Director,Office of Housing and
Community Services.
