A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE
ADMINISTRATION TO FOCUS ON IMPROVING CLEANLINESS AT
THE 17TH STREET PARKING GARAGE (G5), WITH A PARTICULAR
EMPHASIS ON HIGH -TRAFFIC AREAS, SUCH AS THE
STAIRWELLS AND ELEVATORS.
WHEREAS, the 17th Street Parking Garage (G5) is a critical facility that serves
both residents and visitors of Miami Beach, providing essential parking services to
support the local community and tourism; and
WHEREAS, maintaining a clean environment within public facilities such as the
17th Street Parking Garage is vital for ensuring the safety and comfort of all users; and
WHEREAS, high -traffic areas within the garage, such as stairwells and elevators,
have been identified as areas of concern due to their heightened potential for wear and
reduced cleanliness, which may compromise both safety and the overall user experience;
and
WHEREAS, improvements to cleanliness in these areas will contribute to creating
a more welcoming environment for all users of the facility; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission desires to prioritize these improvements to
support the well-being of Miami Beach residents and visitors who rely on this public
facility; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby direct the Administration to focus on improving cleanliness at the
17th Street Parking Garage (G5), with a particular emphasis on high -traffic areas, such
as the stairwells and elevators.
