A RESO LUTIO N OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA,URGING THE ADMINISTRATION TO FILL KEY
POSITIONS IN ALL CITY DEPARTMENTS TO ENSURE THE EFFECTIVE
OPERATION OF CITY SERVICES AND MEET THE DEMANDS OF THE
COMMUNITY.
WHEREAS,the City of Miami Beach is committed to providing high-quality services to its
residents,businesses,and visitors,and relies on well-staffed departments to meet these
expectations;and
WHEREAS,staffing shortages in key positions across city departments can hinder the
effective delivery of services,negatively impacting the city's ability to carry out its responsibilities,
meet critical deadlines,and address the growing needs of our community;and
WHEREAS,fully staffed departments are essential for advancing key projects,
maintaining high morale among city employees,and ensuring the continued success of our city's
initiatives;and
W HEREA S,the Administration,in collaboration with the Human Resources (HR)
Department,must prioritize recruitment efforts to fill vacancies in all city departments as quickly
and efficiently as possible;and
WHEREAS,utilizing every available tool and platform to attract qualified candidates is
essential,including showcasing Miami Beach as an exciting,innovative place to work,highlighting
the unique opportunities the city offers,and emphasizing its commitment to excellence in serving
the community;and
WHEREAS,platforms such as Linkedln,local job boards,and professional networks
should be leveraged to engage potential candidates and actively seek talent from both outside
and within the organization to ensure that our departments remain well-staffed and able to operate
at full ca pacity.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF
THE CITY O F MIA MI BEACH,FLO RIDA,that the Mayor and City Commission hereby urge the
Administration to fill key positions in all City departments to ensure the effective operation of City
services and meet the demands of the community
