In September 2016, Miami Beach Youth Commission was designated to provide the youth of Miami Beach with a vehicle to learn about government, participate in the
process of City government, represent and articulate the needs of youth in the City, and provide recommendations to the Mayor and City Commissioners on issues
and programs affecting the youth and teen population in the City.

4. Reminder: Amendment to Ordinance 2016-4017 passed at the June 26th Commission

8. Environment and Sustainability (Composting Initiatives) - Environment and Sustainability Dept. will
provide an update at the March 18, 025 meeting
9. 2025 FLC Youth Council Legislative Action Days Program (March 25-26, 2025 Tallahassee) – Aubrey and
Penelope confirmed
10. Council2College Scholarship (Deadline April 1, 2025) - - Letter of recommendation requests must be in
by 3/18 to Dr. Rosenfeld
