Resolution 2025-33571 RESOLUTION NO. 2025-33571 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, DIRECTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO PREPARE REPORTS ON ALL THAT WAS ACCOMPLISHED AS A RESULT OF THE THREE NEIGHBORHOOD WALK-THROUGHS, ALSO KNOWN AS "BLOCK PARTIES," CONDUCTED WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS AND RELEVANT CITY DEPARTMENTS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS QUALITY OF LIFE ISSUES IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY; AND FURTHER DIRECTING THE CITY ADMINISTRATION TO CREATE A TEMPLATE FOR SUCH REPORTS AND ISSUE AFTER-ACTION REPORTS FOR ALL FUTURE WALK-THROUGHS VIA LETTER TO THE CITY COMMISSION. WHEREAS, over the course of several past months, Vice-Mayor Tanya K. Bhatt has initiated a series of neighborhood walk-throughs, also known as "block parties"with relevant staff from various City Departments, including Code Enforcement, Public Works, Economic Development, Police, Housing, and Sanitation,to identify and address various quality of life issues in the City; and WHEREAS, these neighborhood walk-throughs provided an opportunity for elected officials, City staff, and residents to collaborate and identify pressing community concerns, such as infrastructure improvements, public safety, sanitation, and other issues affecting the well-being of the community; and WHEREAS,three neighborhood walk-throughs were conducted at the following locations: • Collins Avenue from 65th and 75th Street • 71st Street from Collins to Normandy Fountain • Pennsylvania Avenue from 13th through 17th Streets, and 13th Street from Washington Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue; and WHEREAS, these meetings and walk-throughs were open to the public, allowing community members to directly engage with City officials and staff regarding their concerns and priorities; and WHEREAS, the City Commission finds it in the best interest of the City and its residents to document and review the accomplishments resulting from these walk-throughs to assess their effectiveness, accomplishments, and inform future initiatives; and WHEREAS, the City Administration is hereby directed to prepare and submit reports detailing all accomplishments resulting from the three neighborhood walk-throughs identified herein, including actions taken, issues resolved, pending concerns, and recommendations for future improvements; and WHEREAS, the City Administration is further directed to create a standardized template for such reports to be used in all future neighborhood walk-throughs and to issue after-action reports for all future walk-throughs via Letter to the City Commission on an ongoing basis. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City Commission hereby direct the City Administration to prepare reports on all that was accomplished as a result of the three neighborhood walk-throughs, also known as "block parties," conducted with elected officials and relevant City departments to identify and address quality of life issues in certain areas of the City; and further direct the City Administration to create a template for such reports and issue after-action reports for all future walk-throughs via Letter to the City Commission. /�e PASSED AND ADOPTED this iq day of ��`� , 2025.
