95-21665 Reso RESOLUTION NUMBER 95-21665 A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROPRIATING $85,075.00 FROM REALLOCATED BOND FUND 351 INTO EXISTING WORK ORDER NUMBER 2066 TO CORRECT THE EXISTING DEFICIT AND TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR EMERGENCY ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES. WHEREAS, The Mayor and City Commission authorized the administration to enter into four professional services agreements for emergency environmental services at the City's Mechanical Maintenance facility, Police Station, the Variety Hotel right-of- way and Bayshore Golf Course, respectively, on July 26, 1995 (the Agreements); and WHEREAS, Work Order Number 2066, which is being used to fund the work under the Agreements, has an existing deficit of $27,807; and WHEREAS, funding in the amount of$85,075 is available in Reallocation Bond Fund 351. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the appropriation of $85,075 from Reallocated Bond Fund 351 into existing Work Order Number 2066 to correct the existing deficit and to provide for emergency environmental services is approved. ADMINISTRATION RECOMMENDATION The Administration recommends the adoption of the attached resolution which authorizes the appropriation of $85,075 from Reallocation Bond Fund 351 into existing Work Order Number 2066. The funds will be used to correct an existing deficit in Work Order 2066 and to fund professional services agreements for emergency environmental services at the City's Mechanical Maintenance facility, Police Station, the Variety Hotel right-of-way and Bayshore Golf Course, respectively. BACKGROUND Work Order Number 2066, which has been used to fund environmental compliance restoration work at the City's Mechanical Maintenance facility, the Variety Hotel right-of- way and Bayshore Nursery facilities, has an existing deficit of $27,807. In addition, the City must expedite the implementation of additional environmental compliance restoration efforts at the Mechanical Maintenance facility, Police Station, the Variety Hotel right-of-way and Bayshore Golf Course, respectively, in order to prevent the Dade County Department of Environmental Resources Management from pursuing additional enforcement actions against the City. CONCLUSION The City Commission should authorize the appropriation of $85,075 from Reallocated Bond Fund 351 into existing Work Order Number 2066 to correct the existing deficit and to provide for emergency environmental services.
