A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING SUSAN SMITH AS
MEMBER OF THE PERSONNEL BOARD TO REPRESENT GROUP TWO
EMPLOYEES.
WHEREAS, there was only one individual registered with the City
Clerk's office as a candidate for member of the Personnel Board representing
Group Two employees, the Election Rules provide that that individual be declared
the winner and the election not be held; and
WHEREAS, Susan Smith was the only individual to register as a
candidate within the prescribed time limit. She is hereby declared to be the
winner and the election scheduled for Monday, September 18, 1995, will not be
held. This is in accordance with the Election procedures approved by the
Personnel Board, May 19, 1983; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and City Commission of
the City of Miami Beach, that Susan Smith be declared member of the Personnel
Board to represent Group Two, for a period of three years with a term to expire
on July 31, 1998.
