is amended to
read as follows IV MUTUAL OBLIGATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES A
ANNUAL PAYMENT 2 Commencing October 1 2005 and ending September 30 2016 the County shall annually
appropriate and remit to the City no later than January 1 ofthe following
year an annual amount equal to fifty percent 50 of the difference between a
the amount of general Countywide operating ad valorem taxes levied each year by the County
exclusive of any amountfrom any debt service millage on the assessed value
ofthe taxable real property contained within the geographi c boundaries specifically described
in Exhibit A to this Amendment and b the amount of general Countywide operating ad valorem taxes which would
have been produced by the rate upon which the tax is levied each year by

the total of the assessed value of the taxable real property in the geographic area specifically described

1996 Interlocal Agreement the Amendment between the County and the City of Miami Beach the City
which Amendment was

by the Board on April 24 200 I BACKGROUND This addendum clarifies the basis
onwhich the County will annually appropriate and provide amounts equal to varying
percentages of incremental countywide property tax revenues from thegeographic area known as
the South Pointe Community Development Agency area payable from non ad valorem revenue sources This
addendum does not make any substantive changes in the basis forsuch payments but rather

herein by reference NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY FLORIDA that this
Board hereby approves the terms of Addendum to Amendment One to the
Interlocal Cooperation Agreement dated June 21 1996 between Miami-Dade County and the
City of Miami Beach the Addendum a copy ofwhich is attached hereto and
incorporated herein and authorizes the County Manager to
execute such Addendum The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner
