Miami Beach City Code Section 118-103(a)(1) describes the Historic Preservation Board membership (in part) as follows: "Sec. 118-103. Membership. (a) The historic preservation board shall be composed of seven members. There shall be a member from each of the following categories: (1) A representative from the Miami Design Preservation League (MDPL), selected from three names nominated by such organization." We hereby nominate the following individuals to serve on the Historic Preservation Board: Herb Sosa Beth Dunlop Jane Gross As I understand it, each individual meets the residency criteria to be a member of the board and have submitted the proper application to the City Clerk's office. Just six months ago, we nominated Herb Sosa to fill the vacancy created due to Jeff Donnelly's resignation from the board. The City Commission enthusiastically received his nomination and he was appointed to the board. Since that time, Herb has served with distinction and was voted by his fellow board members to become their Chair. Herb is an outstanding candidate and deserves your serious consideration. On behalf of the MDPL, we sincerely appreciate the opportunity to participate in this process and know you will make the right choice.
