SUBJECT Agenda item for the March 9 2011 Commission meeting a referral to Finance and
Citywide Committee regarding renewal of agreement with Clear Channel ADSHEL Inc to
construct operate and maintain bus shelters
Please place on the March 9 2011 Commission meeting agenda a referral to Finance and
Citywide Committee of renewal of agreement with Clear Channel ADSHEL Inc to construct
operate and maintain bus The referenced Agreement was entered into on October 17 2001
and provides for a ten 10 year initial term which will expire in October 2011 The
Agreement also provides for an automatic five 5 year renewal term UNLESS the City elects
not to renew and provides the Contractor of such intent in writing at least 120 days prior to
the expiration of the initial term
In order to preserve the Citys rights in deciding whether to renew the Agreement or not I am
requesting that this referral be placed as an emergency item on the March 9h City Commission
