MEET MARINA! CMB CODE COMPLIANCE 24/7 SMS VIRTUAL ASSISTANT
The purpose of this Letter to Commission (L TC) is to introduce "Marina," the City of Miami Beach
Code Compliance Department's new 24/7 SMS Virtual Assistant. Sponsored by Commissioner
Alex Fernandez and co-sponsored by Comm issioner Joseph Magazine, this beta program offers
a user-friendly chatbot that enables residents and visitors to request assistance via text message
at any time.
Accessible by texting "CODE" to 311 CMS (262) from any mobile device, Marina provides direct,
around-the-clock communication with the Code Compliance Customer Service team through SMS.
Once connected, users will be guided step-by-step through the process.
Currently, Marina is trained to assist with Code Compliance related matters only such as short
term rentals, noise related issues, right of way, illegal dumping and more. More information can be

Marina is scheduled to launch on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. The Information Technology
Department is working in close collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to
promote the beta program through the City website, social media channels, newsletters, press
release, and other outreach efforts.
