Event: Seniors Police Ball Date: July 10, 2025 Time: 6:00 pm -8:00 pm Location: Miami Beach Convention Center Grand Ballroom (215r & Washington Ave) Our Miami Beach Parks and Recreation and Police Departments invite all Miami Beach seniors ages 55 and older to an evening filled with food, dancing, and fun! This event is free, and transportation will be provided. Space is limited, so please RSVP in person at North Shore Park, Scott Rakow Youth Center, Flamingo Park, or contact Xavier Guerrero at xavierguerrero@miamibeachfl.gov. Event: Date: 81st Annual Playground Revue July 23, 2025 (4th -12th graders) July 24, 2025 (K - 3rd graders) Time: 6:15 pm -8:00 pm (Doors open at 5:45pm) Location: Fillmore Miami Beach at the Jackie Gleason Theatre (1700 Washington Ave) The Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting the 81 st Annual Playground Revue themed "MB Happily Ever After". Enjoy performances of the many talented children who attend our 2025 summer day camps and watch them dance and sing to music from some of our favorite animated movies. Event: Simon Bolivar y las Americas Day Date: July 24, 2025 Time: 4:00 pm -6:00 pm Location: Collins Park (21st Street and Collins Avenue) Simon Bolivar, also known as El Libertador (translated in English as "The Liberator''), played a central role in the South American independence movement against Spanish rule. His efforts set forth the creation of Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama and Peru. Festivities will be followed by an invocation and wreath-laying ceremony from the Office of the Mayor and Commission. This year's ceremony will honor the country of Panama.
