RECOMMENDATION The Ciry Adminis[ration ("Administration") remmmends that Ihe Commission accepts the Finan<e and Eronomic Resiliency Committee's ("FERC" or "Committee" recommendation ro mnsider (unding an annual albcation of 53,000 to each of the City's six advisory committees addressing human and civil rights as part of the FY 2026 6udget process. The Adminfstration remmmends that while the Commission evaluates an annual aliocation of$3,000 to each of the Ciq/s six advisory commi[tees addressing human and civil rights, it also carefully mnsiders several critical factors that will significanHy impact the General Fund hudgeC beginning in N 2026: 1. The passage ofAmendment 5 in Navember 2024,which increases the homestead ezemp[ion and further constrains Ihe growth of tazable property values These considerations are essential to ensure that decisions regarding an annual allocation of 53,000 fo each of the Ci[y's six advisory commi[tees addressing human and civil rights align with the Ci[y's broader long-term financial stability and strategic priorities.
