A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, DIRECTING THE CITY
ADMINISTRATION TO ALLOW RESIDENTS FREE ADMISSION TO THE
SCOTT RAKOW YOUTH CENTER ICE RINK DURING A WEEKEND IN
JULY TO HONOR THE FLORIDA PANTHERS FOR THEIR VICTORY IN
THE STANLEY CUP FINALS.
WHEREAS, on June 17, 2025, the Florida Panthers achieved a historic victory
against the Edmonton Oilers, winning the Stanley Cup Finals for the second year in a
row, and bringing pride and joy to the residents of Miami Beach and South Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Florida Panthers' victory is a testament to their hard work,
dedication, and excellence in the sport of hockey; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Beach wishes to celebrate this momentous
achievement and honor the Florida Panthers for their outstanding performance; and
WHEREAS, the Scott Rakow Youth Center Ice Rink is a beloved facility in the
community that provides recreational opportunities for residents of all ages; and
WHEREAS, offering free admission to the Scott Rakow Youth Center Ice Rink
during a weekend in July will allow residents to come together and celebrate the Florida
Panthers' victory in a fun and engaging manner; and
WHEREAS, this gesture will also promote community spirit and encourage
residents to participate in recreational activities at the Scott Rakow Youth Center Ice Rink.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby direct the City Administration to allow residents free admission to the
Scott Rakow Youth Center Ice Rink during a weekend in July to honor the Florida
Panthers for their victory in the Stanley Cup Finals.
