Back-to-School Resource Fair
The purpose of this Letter to Commission ("L TC") is to announce that the Office of Housing and Community Services is hosting a back-to-school resource fair for Miami Beach families on Friday, July 25, 2025, at the Miami Beach Bandshell, located at 7275 Collins Avenue, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
As the new academic year for Miami-Dade County Public Schools approaches, starting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, we are excited to announce that in preparation, the Office of Housing and Community Services will be distributing backpacks and essential school supplies. This initiative aims to ensure that students are well-equipped for a stimulating and rewarding school year ahead.
Families will also have the opportunity to discover a multitude of resources while enjoying games, activities, light refreshments and snacks, and raffles. The event will host a variety of community stakeholders and service providers throughout Miami-Dade County, The Children's Trust, and City-sponsored programs.
The event is easily accessible by trolley, and parking is available across the street at 299 72nd
Street and Collins Avenue, as well as street parking surrounding the area.
