City of Miami Beach Information Sessions Prekindergarten Scholarship Program
Interested Providers 2026-2027
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to update you on the status of the City of Miami Beach's
Prekindergarten (PreK) Scholarship Program for Miami Beach residents. The Prekindergarten
Scholarship Program expands hourly access to high-quality PreK providers for families in the 2026-27
school year.
Staff from the Office of Education and Performance Initiatives oversee this scholarship program as it
enters its fifth year of implementation. There are 26 PreK providers participating (attachment A).
Provider informational sessions will be held via Zoom on the following dates and times (attachment B):
Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 11 AM
Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at 1 PM
Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 6 PM

Information about these sessions has been posted to the city's website and shared with the Early
Learning Coalition of Miami-Dade, the Office of Early Learning/Florida Department of Education, and
the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Miami Beach Prekindergarten Scholarship Program Information Sessions for Providers
The City of Miami Beach Prekindergarten (Pre-K) Scholarship Program for
the 2026-2027 school year will provide eligible Miami Beach families with
a Pre-K stipend.
Eligible* Pre-K providers are invited to partake in one of the information
sessions being offered on how your organization can register to participate
in this program.
