TITLE: DISCUSS/TAKE ACTION, ALLOCATION OF $1,500 TO FEDERATION TOWERS
WEEKLY BINGO NIGHTS IN FY 2026 BUDGET.
RECOMMENDATION
BACKGROUND/HISTORY
ANALYSIS
I would like to propose an allocation of $1,500 in the FY 2026 budget to support Senior Bingo
Nights al Federation Towers, and I am requesting that this item be discussed during our upcoming
FY 2026 budget workshop.
I had the pleasure of allending the recent Mothers Day celebretion at Federation Towers. During
my visit, the building manager expressed concem about the future of their weekly bingo sessions,
which are at risk due to a lack oifunding.
These weekly bingo nights are more than just a recreational activity—they offer a vital opportunity
for socialization, community-building, and joy among the senior residents. To continue offering
these sessions on a consistent basis, an annual contribution of $1,500 is needed. This modest
invesment can have a meaningful impact on the well-being and quality of life of our senior
community members.
